Lobos    Click on the images below to see an enlargement

Lobos Island was our first island visit after joining the boat (and enjoying a great lunch) and provided a great introduction to local wildlife with a colony of Sea Lions, including many cubs, Blue-footed Boobies and other birds, Lava Lizards and Marine Iguanas. Being very close to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno (the port) on San Cristobal, we went back to anchor there for the early evening.

We started the routine to be found each day. A shower after the afternoon excursion and assembly in the bar by 6pm (usually with a drink of beer) where Gino provided a briefing. In part a review of the day, but mainly an outline of the plan of activities for the next day. An excellent dinner was served in the dining room at 7pm. By 9pm this first night, the boat headed out for the longest journey of the tour, with a 9 hour sail to Chinaman's Hat (Sombrero Chino) Island.
