This island is an attractive mix of "lunar" landscapes, from more recent volcanic activity (geologically speaking), with a bank of golden sands linking two large rocky outcrops. A 114m high pinnacle of volcanic core greets the visitor to the attractive bay, and the island's highest volcanic peak provides a great outlook.

On one side of the sandbank we saw white-tipped reef sharks circle very close to the beach, with a scattering of green turtles amongst them. Not a place for swimming. A few of hundred metres on the other side, in the bay at the foot of the Pinnacle, the water is good for swimming and snorkelling.
