About Me

Photography has been a fascination for me ever since I was a youngster. I still have the very first folding 120 camera that I was occasionally allowed to use to take black and white family photographs when I was 8 years old.

Over the years, work and family commitments have variously impacted the time and financial resources that could be spent on this "hobby", but I have never been without at least a couple of cameras. Amongst the many cameras that passed through my hands in the days of film were various models from Praktica, Pentax, Nikon, Mamiya, Bronica, Canon, and more latterly Minolta, Panasonic and Leica.

In 1995 my brother, another keen photographer and Minolta fan, and I went on a 3 week safari in Botswana and Zimbabwe. We had a fantastic time and brought back many rolls of film with lots of very pleasing images (one of mine was even published by National Geographic Traveller).

At the time we promised ourselves another adventure, with the Amazon as the target. It took a decade for the opportunity to arise and we have recently thoroughly enjoyed a wild-life adventure in Ecuador.

This web site is my brief record of this adventure, illustrated with galleries of some of the images (all taken with digital equipment) which I brought back.
